SR-22 Insurance by State
Most states have SR-22 requirements for drivers convicted of certain traffic violations, except in Delaware, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. However, if you have an SR-22 and then move to one of these states, you must continue to meet the requirements of the state where the SR-22 was issued.
New York and North Carolina do not require SR-22 filings, and most insurance companies do not offer out-of-state SR-22 filings for policies in these states.
